It is difficult to figure out where to start when it comes to integrating libmongocrypt in a driver. There are lots of moving parts. We decided not to exclude most of the implementation detail of libmongocrypt from the driver spec. Therefore, let's add a guide in the libmongocrypt repo. This will include where to start (wrapping, creating bindings), some common Q&A (lifetime and ownership of mongocrypt_binary_t), and how to implement the state machine (what the driver should do on each state). |
