We have 3 Config Servers We have mongoS in MO as well as in TX As per doc all mongoS we must have config db servers in the same order Question: Can we have different conf setting for mongos's residing in two location for example : TX MongoS setting --configdb TXserver1,TXServer2,MoServer3 but as per your doc it is not allowed which is causing a performance issue( pls see below) http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/reference/program/mongos/ Note: mongos instances read from the first config server in the list provided. All mongos instances must specify the hosts to the --configdb setting in the same order. Thanks |

The order has to be the same on every node in all data centers. If there is a performance issue (there shouldn't really be one) then please start a thread on mongodb-user to discuss. |
