| Description |
|
In XCode 5, Apple has removed GCC from the command line tools. The 'gcc' and 'g++' binaries are now, in fact, specially configured versions of clang. Mongo 2.4 (and earlier) do not build correctly with this version of clang, so by default it is not possible to build the product with XCode 5. |

We are well on our way to 2.8, not going to worry about building 2.4. |
