| Description |
|
Currently the default search path for the snmp config file on windows is %HOMEPATH%\.snmp or snmp the build directory. This is not intuitive and also the %HOMEPATH%\.snmp does not help for services. It should be changed to look in mongod.exe directory. |

confirmed 8.3 path names works.

|
This may just be a Windows net-snmp bug. After discussion, a workaround that Sridhar will test is to use 8.3 pathnames.

SNMPCONFPATH only works for directories that do not include spaces.

By setting SNMPCONFPATH environment variable, you can override the default search path for config files. This should be called out in the documentation for 2.6.

Note: The homepath is only being searched for in the case of client OS (windows 7). On Windows 2k8 R2 homepath is not part of the search path. Only buildpath is. e.g. This is a problem if your machine does not have a usable d:\ Also note this search path is where it looks for the default MIBs |
