I thought we didn't actually return $RETVAL even thought it was set and this was a longstanding bug that happened to work because killproc was successfully killing a pid in a nonexistent file with the mongod name. |

I verified that the incorrect status code is coming from killproc. In our stop() and start() we set $RETVAL which is used as the init script exit code at the bottom of the script. This may be an OS bug.. |
