 Description

When mongod is started with --snmp-subagent it cannot seem to connect to the local snmpd. I have tried running snmpd with and without the -x flag to control the port.

In the mongod log there is a warning Warning: "Failed to connect to the agentx master agent ([NIL]):"

This works with the following configuration

The following lines added to snmpd.conf subagent control section:

  • master agentx
  • agentXSocket tcp:localhost:705
The following line added to the mongod.conf file:
  • agentXSocket tcp:localhost:705.

Also verified with this with a 3 node RS running on my machine with all nodes as subagent. Verified get stats from all 3 nodes.

Is it running with the right permissions?
