Mongodb is running as a windows service. The solution that i found is to stop the service, delete mongod.lock and then start the service again. It is implemented in a newer version a mechanism to auto-recovery after an "unclean shutdown" ? Thanks, |

Hi Gabriel, I'm closing this issue due to inactivity. If you were able to find a resolution for this problem, it would be helpful to comment on the outcome. Thanks, |

Hi Gabriel, apologies for the delayed response. Unfortunately there is currently no way to automatically clean up after an unclean shutdown. How are you shutting down you machine in the instances where these problems occur? Additionally, in order to you help work out this issue, please post your server's log output next time these startup problems occur. |
