The current mongod.conf.subagent config doesn't work when running --snmp-subagent on RHEL. As per the docs (https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Directory_Server/8.1/html/Administration_Guide/Monitoring_DS_Using_SNMP-Configuring_the_Subagent.html), if I edit /etc/snmp/mongod.conf and add the below lines to specify how to talk to the snmp master, and then restart mongod and snmpwalk, I successfully see values for the walk. net-snmp version 5.5, which is same one I see on Amazon Linux. |
