| Description |
|
Sometime in the 2.5.2/2.5.3 timeframe we stopped supporting the "C++ client driver tarball" mechanism for building the driver. However, we still have up on the downloads site links for various 2.5.x tarballs, and also something called mongo-cxx-driver-nightly, which hasn't been updated in weeks. Since we no longer support this mechanism for the driver, we should remove the packages. They aren't useful, and are at best confusing. |

On reflection, since we did actually ship the driver for 2.5.0, 2.5.1, and 2.5.2, we should leave those up. Only cxx-driver/mongodb-linux-x86_64-latest.tgz should be removed, since it will never be updated. |
