 Description

I am trying to roll out a ssl enabled shard with a custom build on Amazon linux. The config servers refuse to accept connections from the shard routers on SSL. Is there some extra config needed to enable SSL on the config servers?

It should work fine. Can you describe your configuration in more detail and include error messages in the ticket?
