For the purposes of w:majority, the majority calculation includes arbiters. Since arbiters do not store a copy of the data, they will never report that they have successfully replicated the write in question. This makes it difficult to design fault-tolerant clusters that utilize multiple datacenters without having extra data-bearing nodes. |
