| Description |
|
On a production Windows environment, there is often no tool available that can handle log files with Unix line endings. Notepad doesn't do it, and WordPad is not capable of dealing with large log files. It would therefore be helpful if the Windows version of MongoDB would write log files with standard Windows line endings (CR/LF). In addition, the mongod config file on Windows should also support normal Windows line endings so a blank config file can be created in Notepad instead of with echo as suggested in the documentation. |

I could successfully create a config file with Notepad with CRLF endings without any changes. For the log file, I have a fix for the 2.8.x release. |
