I want to split up the database files and i want journal directory alone to be created on a seperate hard disk drive . to increase the performance

Can we convert this to a feature request? Given the amount of "best practice" advice suggesting the use of a separate storage device for the journal I think there should be an option for mongod to manage that. Dealing with symbolic links at scale is not fun.

How to do it ..
Kindly provide the step to initiate such mongod process
By default its saving in dbpath parameter as wat we mention it while creating a mongod process. so i need to change it now
