It would be valuable to have a feature similar to maxTimeMS for insert, update, delete operations. This would be useful in many ways. One example given was a nightly "cleanup" job that deletes or updates data where you would have a single update or delete or a BulkWriteOperation that you would want to run only for a specific period of time before being terminated automatically. |

Seems like this ticket should be closed then, since the bulk API is a client-side concept. |

The maxTimeMs option is currently supported by all write commands (on the server). |
