Users need to be warned of this as it can make disaster recovery, an already stressful situation, utterly catastrophic. Multi-GB databases with a few indexes can take double digit hours to restore which is an unacceptable downtime for just about anyone. (Sorry for the vague numbers, but I didn't have the time/patience to even let the process complete.) |
