I downloaded MongoDB 2.6.1 standard edition msi, 64bit for windows and installed it. I uninstalled it and created service manually as it is suggested in documentation and then service started just fine. |

Thanks for reporting this issue. One quick question: Did you create the log path before you tried starting mongod as a service? And if so, did you specify a fully qualified path, or a relative path? Thanks mark |
