 Description

Hi team,
I am just asking ,whether it is possible or nor ,as every RDBMS have remote data access engine like in MySQL federate engine , we can access data of remote DB server but itself it doesn't data .can be similar type of features add in MongoDB , it will be great.
like arbiter node have already have role in replication set,so can be better to add more functionality on arbiter node like it can vote for choose new primary along with he can access DB data tooo without saving anything itself.

its just a suggestion , if it is possible then really arbiter node have a significant role in replication set and people can run replica set with 2 mongod and one arbiter node on webserver or monitoring server too.

There are a couple of MongoDB processes we believe you have this functionality in, including the shell, mongos router, and the BI Connector. We have no plans to expand this behavior to arbiters today. If you have a specific use case for arbiters that the other tools don't satisfy please add the details here.
