 Description

Patch to support date truncate functions.

Please review it, it is just a quick patch to support date truncate.

In our case, it was faster to use date truncate functions in $project (and then group on it) as with splitting of with $second, $minute, etc.

I hope this helps

HeikoSteindl, I am closing this as a duplicate of SERVER-11118 which is in progress now.

Hi HeikoSteindl,

The best way to contribute code to the MongoDB server is outlined in CONTRIBUTING.rst in our source repository. We need you to sign our contributor agreement, then submit your code as a pull request. We also need tests to prove that the new code works correctly.
