 Description

We want to set the journal in the local disk. Currently data files are in NFS mount.
Since journal files are automatically place in the data file path, how would I change only journal files to be place in the local mount and data files remains in the NFS mount

Hi Pukar,

Please refer to the documentation on MongoDB Storage.

If your server runs out of disk space for journal files, the server process will exit. By default, mongod creates journal files in a sub-directory of dbPath named journal. You may elect to put the journal files on another storage device using a filesystem mount or a symlink.

Please note that the SERVER project is for reporting bugs or feature suggestions for the MongoDB server.

For MongoDB-related support discussion please post on the mongodb-users group (http://groups.google.com/group/mongodb-user) or Stack Overflow with the mongodb tag.

Regards,
Thomas
