No, you cannot do this via mongos, but there are some feature requests which might do what you are imagining like SERVER-11648. What are you trying to accomplish? Maybe you can talk to someone more knowledgeable about that and come up with a new feature request if what exists is not sufficient. |

Is there a mechanism from mongos to view the current configuration of the replica sets without querying the primary node directly? |

This information is not needed nor collected by mongos for these connections. Why do you want this command to return that information? The priority/delay are replica set configuration options not (current) state/role information used in selecting connection used to talk to shards. |
