 Description

The logical volume on which all mongodb logs go to got filled up due to which mongodb servers(config, mongos and mongod) stopped logging. We use log rotate to rotate our logs. Once we emptied space on that particular logical volume, we found out that the servers were not creating logs in the log files. Also, we tried to force log rotate but it did not create a log file.

amzaidi, unfortunately there's no fix for this issue yet. Please tune in to SERVER-14725 for progress on this issue, and feel free to vote in it as well.

Regards,

Yes we are running Mongodb 2.6. Is there a fix for this?

This is a known issue in 2.6 (see SERVER-14725), but it's not expected on earlier versions. Can you please confirm you're using 2.6? If not, which MongoDB version are you running?
