The shell uses next() when iterating cursors as opposed to nextSafe() - our cursor protocol generally expects $err to be rethrown as an error vs reported as a normal result.

Moving this ticket to the Backlog and removing the "Backlog" fixVersion as per our latest policy for using fixVersions.
