I'm trying to change the oplog size. I closed one secondary server and open it in standalone mode, and it created the local.0, local.1 and local.ns files in the /data/db directory which is my dbPath. I expect, they should be created under /data/db/local directory. Therefore when I apply the steps mentioned in http://docs.mongodb.org/v2.4/tutorial/change-oplog-size/ documentation all the files for oplog created in the /data/db directory and oplog size seems as it does not changed. I assume it is about the place where the datafiles are created. What's the point that I'm missing? Thanks |

I was assuming, mongo server use the configuration file but I was mistaken. I supplied the config file and set the directoryperdb = true and the problem is solved. |
