I just tried to install MongoDB from the downloads-distro.mongodb.org repo on a Debian 7. The process fails with the following output:

Argh, you're right. I copied the source line from a vagrant setup file which is based on Ubuntu |

Can you post your apt source line? It looks like you're pointed at the Ubuntu repo instead of the Debian repo. |

I just wanted to note, that this is a fresh virtual machine I just installed moments ago. I'm fairly certain that this could be reproduced. I've only issued a handful of commands after commissioning the VM. |
