Hi MongoDB Support Team, I have a general question, as I am a database administrator currently helping a customer that is developing an application on MongoDB. We are receiving alerts informing us that the number of open connections is above 2,000. After checking the server, I notice that there are ~3,000 connections open and about ~16,000 connections available. Is this a problem? Should the application be more careful to close connections in order to keep the number of open connections below 2,000? What is the best practice here? Thank you, |

Thanks for your report cahillone. The SERVER project is for reporting bugs or feature suggestions for the MongoDB server. For MongoDB-related support discussion please post on the mongodb-user group or Stack Overflow with the mongodb tag, where your question will reach a larger audience. A question like this involving more discussion would be best posted on the mongodb-user group. Regards, |
