 Description

Since MongoDB 3.0 it is no longer possible to run it on Windows Server 2003 64 Bit (SP2). The Windows 64-bit Legacy works for 2.6, but not for 3.0 (and 3.0.1).
The error when running mongod.exe is (in error-messagebox): "C:\Program Files\MongoDB 3.0 Standard Legacy\bin\mongod.exe is not a valid Win32 application"

These executables do not work:
mongo.exe
mongod.exe
mongoperf.exe
mongos.exe

The other executables are still fine.

eierkoek, this is to confirm that MongoDB 3.0 is not supported on Windows Server 2003. Please note that Microsoft is ending support for WS2003 in July 2015, so you may want to consider upgrading to a more recent version of Windows Server.

For a list of MongoDB's supported platforms per release please see the documentation on installing MongoDB.

Regards,
Ramón.
