 Description

Hi, we are evaluating mongodb for our organization. We need to have http interface enabled for the users to query mongodb directly. I have setted below parameters

nohttpinterface = False
rest = true

I am also able to get the http interface on our link http://10.230.17.165.28017 Attaching the screenshot for this.

But problem is I am not able to understand authentication on screen. I have also created user as well in database but still it is giving problem. Will you please help me out here as this is must for us to proceed further.

Thanks a lot.

Lochan

We don't recommend that you provide access to MongoDB directly via the HTTP interface in production environments. For your reference: here is the documentation for enabling the HTTP Interface, the net.http.enabled, and the security of the HTTP interface – if you're using Kerberos and/or 3.0 this may be relevant to you:

While MongoDB Enterprise does support Kerberos authentication, Kerberos is not supported in HTTP status interface in any version of MongoDB.

Changed in version 3.0.

Neither the HTTP status interface nor the REST API support the SCRAM-SHA-1 challenge-response user authentication mechanism introduced in version 3.0.

Please note that questions about MongoDB configuration and use are better addressed to one of our support channels. The SERVER project is for reporting bugs or feature suggestions for the MongoDB server, so I'd recommend you post on mongodb-users group or Stack Overflow with the mongodb tag where your question will reach a larger audience.

Also I am seeing a line in mongodb log which says

2015-03-25T06:21:25.554+0000 I NETWORK [websvr] Socket recv() errno:11 Resource temporarily unavailable 192.168.88.255:50593

Will this help to resolve the issue.

Thanks.
