I am following the steps here: When I try to connect to my local instance
it does not work, I receive the following error:
I looked into the conf file and it looks like the bind_ip entry is not valid, since it contains "spaces":
where it should be

I'm not able to reproduce this problem. I created the following configuration file:
which matches the syntax in the deb package. I then run mongod -f myconfig and had no trouble starting mongod, so I'm going to resolve this issue. tugdual.grall, if this is still an issue for you please re-open the ticket and post the full mongod log from startup so we can investigate further. tugdual.grall can you post your mongod.log? I'd like to see what errors mongod gives about the bind_ip. | |||

tugdual.grall are you sure mongod was started? Can you post your mongod.log? What version of Ubuntu are you running? |
