Mongo server crashes upon launch with the following message "aborting after invariant() failure" Following is the log generated up on running mongo server.

Don't forget to check the obvious – file limits ulimit -n Default file limit of 1,024 is probably nowhere near enough. | ||

karthikvamsi, please make sure the user you're running mongod under has sufficient permissions to read and write in the /data/db directory, and also read and write all the files within it. Please note that the SERVER project is for reporting bugs or feature suggestions for the MongoDB server.
