 Description

Hi,
For installing MongoDB which flavour of Linux is better for wiredTiger. Ubuntu or CentOS. I have heard from reliable sources in past that MongoDB is more performant & stable on CentOS than Ubuntu (considering both at latest version). Please provide your recommendation. I have to update customer with same ASAP.

Thanks,
Nikhil

nikhil.naib@cignex.com, please see our recommended operating systems for production deployments page. For WiredTiger the one important recommendation is to use the XFS filesystem.

Please note that the SERVER project is for reporting bugs or feature suggestions for the MongoDB server. For MongoDB-related support discussion please post on the mongodb-user group or Stack Overflow with the mongodb tag, where your question will reach a larger audience. Future questions like this on involving more discussion would be best posted on the mongodb-user group. See also our Technical Support page for additional support resources.

Regards,
Ramón.
