I don't see any possibility to interact with use during a mongo shell batch. |

The mongo shell does not use a Node.JS environment, but does include a user interaction mode that's roughly equivalent to readline for many common operations. You can always use the NodeJS Driver in an interactive javascript environment as a client for MongoDB. I hope this helps.
