The "service mongd start" command is not working.
"service mongod stop" command works fine.

Thanks for this report. Could you answer a few questions to help us understand whats going on better:

  1. Can you provide the content of the mongod's log file?
  2. When you say the stop operation works fine but the start operation does not work fine, how did you start the process?
  3. How did you install MongoDB? What process did you use, and what packages did you use to install the software.
