When you can configure both command line (or config file) options to the node, and options for the replica set config document used for initiate it now makes sense to call these things something more specific to their use instead of conflating them in the same object with special handling. For example maybe something like this: commandLineArgs and rsConfigOptions, and memberCommandLineArgs, and rsMemberConfigOptions |
