| Description |
|
When processing inserts at extremely high rates the working set for mongod increases linearly until it consumes all available physical memory. At that point the system continues to operate but experiences intermittent freezing (no mouse response). The frequency and duration of the freezes ranges from sub second to 10-20 seconds and seems to be very variable depending on actual insert rate and the hardware mongod is running on (particularly physical memory available and performance of hard drives). |
