Hi Michael,

Ordering of results based on an $in query has already been suggested as a feature: see SERVER-7528. There's a comment on this issue from Aaron Staple which includes an example of how you might achieve this with the aggregation framework, and several other discussions on StackOverflow with different ideas.

Please note that the SERVER project is for reporting bugs or feature suggestions for the MongoDB server.

For MongoDB-related community support discussion please post on the mongodb-users group (http://groups.google.com/group/mongodb-user) or Stack Overflow / ServerFault.

Thanks,
Stephen
