Currently we get average latency, which is not nearly as useful as a histogram. At the very least, it would be nice to get avg, 99% and 99.9% latency. |

FYI: the current infrastructure accumulates an event count and a total latency, which is only sufficient for computing an average. Could trivially add a second moment collection to get variance. For histogram or percentile results we need to add in support to accumulate the individual latencies. We could also easily add a max latency value. |
