 Description

When a remove operation is in progress there's no way to see how far completed it is. Some kind of progress meter would be useful.

Even simply having a "nDeleted" counter would be useful. That would allow progress when the number of records is known, and eyeball estimation when the total is assumed.

In the pedantic case that would double the amount of time required to perform the delete, so don't think that's a good idea.

Can't you do a count?

We can't know how many things there are to delete, so can't do a progress meter

All we can really do is say how much we've looked at and how much we've delete.
There isn't an efficient way to know how far we have to go.
