When a remove operation is in progress there's no way to see how far completed it is. Some kind of progress meter would be useful. |

Even simply having a "nDeleted" counter would be useful. That would allow progress when the number of records is known, and eyeball estimation when the total is assumed. |

In the pedantic case that would double the amount of time required to perform the delete, so don't think that's a good idea. |

We can't know how many things there are to delete, so can't do a progress meter |

All we can really do is say how much we've looked at and how much we've delete. |
