 Description

Customers are failing to install MongoDB 3.2 Enterprise via apt-get because the 3.2 version cannot be found.

The closure inspection has revealed that the Packages file is missing the 3.2 version http://repo.mongodb.com/apt/ubuntu/dists/trusty/mongodb-enterprise/stable/multiverse/binary-amd64/Packages

This must be resolved ASAP.

PS Same issue with precise.

This was caused by a backend deployment error and should be fixed now. The updated files may take up to 45 minutes to propagate to CDN edge servers that host the package repos.

I believe this is a problem with the "stable" repository directory pointer reverting to 3.0 from 3.2.

Another workaround is to refer directly to the 3.2 repository which does contain 3.2.0 packages -

From the docs -

If you’d like to install MongoDB Enterprise packages from a particular release series, such as 2.4 or 2.6, you can specify the release series in the repository configuration. For example, to restrict your system to the 2.6 release series, add the following repository:

echo "deb http://repo.mongodb.com/apt/ubuntu "$(lsb_release -sc)"/mongodb-enterprise/2.6 multiverse" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mongodb-enterprise-2.6.list

But for 3.2:

echo "deb http://repo.mongodb.com/apt/ubuntu "$(lsb_release -sc)"/mongodb-enterprise/3.2 multiverse" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mongodb-enterprise-3.2.list

Note that one can download the packages directly and install them:

I'm therefore lowering the priority to "Critical - P2", since there's a workaround.
