I can't find a way to configure the max memory for the mongod process. This is necessary if non-mongo software is also run on the instance. |

mongo use memory mapped files. that means that the virtual size is the size of all your data. see: http://blog.mongodb.org/post/101911655/mongo-db-memory-usage for more info. |
