serverStatus() and thus mongostat does not show information on each shard, only on mongos. The ability to see individual stats on each shard is essential both from a monitoring tools standpoint, but also it's handy to see each machines performance independently. |

Are you sure? Can you send the output of db.serverStatus() on a shard. |
