| Description |
|
we deploy one replicaset with three machines running mongod(one primary, two secondary). These machines have 10Gbps ethernet bandwidth for mongodb ,and SSD card for mongodb datafile. data items for db to handle are totally 41000000 per week. When replication runs a long time, the two secondary mongod reports "changing sync target because current sync target's most recent OpTime is Jan 4 19:47:18:230 which is more than 30 seconds behind member 172.28.11.142:27017 whose most recent OpTime is 1451908070" |

This is not an error message but simply informational logging. The replication system dynamically selects a sync source based on a number of things, like how up-to-date the source member is, compared to other member's replication progress. Is there some reason you believe this message results in a problem or issue for your replica set? If so, please provide more information including the logs for your members, rs.status() during the issue, rs.config(). Please also be aware that the version you are using is fairly old and it is suggested that you at least upgrade to the latest 2.6.X release (2.6.11 currently) if not the current stable release of 3.2.X. Also, any bugs found in 2.6.X are unlikely to be "fixed" if they have already been addressed in a current stable release. |
