See https://github.com/acmorrow/gperftools/tree/better-idle We would like to know if this patch performs on par with the existing local modifications to tcmalloc so that we can contribute the patch upstream and eventually no longer require local customization of tcmalloc. geert.bosch should be able to provide a relevant workload. |
