Hello, I have a question with mongodb replicatset. Right now we are running 4 nodes replicaset with version 2.6.8. Currently we have to add one more node into existing replicaset, while we downloaded the version is 2.6.12. Would it be possible to keep these two different minor version difference and replicaset will work smoothly? Or we need to have exact 2.6.8 for new node. Thanks. |

Compatibility between different versions of MongoDB is provided only for performing rolling updates. We do not support databases that run with mixed versions for extended periods of time. You may benefit from reviewing on documentation on upgrading to the latest revision. Finally, please note that SERVER project is for reporting bugs or feature suggestions for the MongoDB server. For MongoDB-related support discussion please post on the mongodb-users group or Stack Overflow with the mongodb tag. A question like this involving more discussion would be best posted on the mongodb-users group. Thank you, |
