| Description |
|
After $collStats is implemented for the operation latency histogram, the statistics in the db.collection.collStats() should be merged in, and the collection method can be a shell helper for the aggregation source. Without this change, it would be very confusing to have both $collStats and db.collection.collStats(), which do two completely different things. |

Will need to document the new storageStats option to the $collStats stage |

Besides documenting the new aggregation source, the collStats() collection method will need to be updated with the new format and behavior. |
