They basically represent the same concept, but for different storage engines. We should just merge them so that there is less confusion and chance for errors. Adding to the confusion, some of the db_raii types include a ScopedTransaction (OldClientWriteContext, AutoGetCollectionForRead, and AutoGetOrCreateDb) but not others with very similar names (AutoGetDb, AutoGetCollection, OldClientContext). |

ScopedTransaction was removed some time ago, in somewhat the spirit of this ticket. |
