 Description

It would be useful to have a basic resource threshold monitor task running, that outputs an error if a threshold is exceeded.

Resource thresholds should include:

  • # of mongod processes vs. total RAM
  • # Disk usage exceeding 80%
  • # of open sockets
  • Excessive thread usage for 1 process

We will look at making these types of improvements when adding signal processing to expanded metrics.
