 Description

Is there anyway to control memory usage of mongodb with wiredtiger engine?
I have tried ulimit -m but mongo crashed after the failure of memory allocation.
And wiredTigerCacheSize param just limit WT cache only.
The result of the case would be a OOM killer or OS unable to ssh which should be rebooted.

Hi daimin,

Thanks for your report. Please note that SERVER project is for reporting bugs or feature suggestions for the MongoDB server. For MongoDB-related support discussion please post on the mongodb-users group or Stack Overflow with the mongodb tag. A question like this involving more discussion would be best posted on the mongodb-users group, where you can provide additional details about your system specs/configuration and workload to receive suggestions for improvements.

Kind regards,
Thomas
