-fstack-check appears to detect when the stack and the heap collide, at the expense of performance. Source: https://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-help/2014-07/msg00076.html We should investigate whether this flag would work for builds of MongoDB, and whether the expense is acceptable. |
