1.46.1 is the Canonical-supported default version of Boost in Ubuntu 11.10, while 1.42.0 is available from the "universe" (community) repository, if that affects any decisions. In Ubuntu 11.04, version 1.42.0 was the only version listed in either the Canonical or universe repositories. |

"Version 2 is deprecated, and will not be included in Boost releases 1.48 and later." according to: The release of boost 1.48.0 release is scheduled for the 2nd week in november. This means there are about 2 weeks left. |

1.47.0 is out from http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_47_0/libs/filesystem/v2/doc/index.htm Probably a good time to finally migrate to fsv3 |
