Indeed. This ticket is from a split an older ticket which asked to do this for both Windows and OS X. I think OS X is achievable soon, so I want to get it done and defer windows. |

This has been problematic in the past because while there is a way to suppress specific compilation warnings for the Visual Studio compiler, there is no way to suppress individual link warnings emitted by MS LINK. Some of the warnings that are currently emitted by the linker may be hard to suppress or avoid. |
